Yes think it was Bill, Both companies were under the umbrella of the British Motor Corporation (BMC). BMC went trough many names and changes and are very sadly defunct now. British motor manufacturing is a very small industry now.

In my younger day as a mechanic, I use to service this type of car (not the v8). Just how old am I? I’m talking working on them in the early to mid 70’s.
