LOl I shot this for my C&G some umpteen years ago, at Lurgan,Co. Armagh agricultural show. This young lassie had just won her class and was overjoyed at with her prize bovine pet.
Shot in t-max 100 on my old Minolta x-300 and printed up on a very high quality Paper who’s name escapes me at the moment .. so it’ll have to join the list of other names that have gone over the wall as well! I can’t find the bl**dy neg so I just scanned it in on a little hp jobby!
*PS I have been asked to explain the title by a few people.. well!…A very famous Snooker player came from Northern Ireland and was World Champion twice. His name was Alex Higgins… one hell (raiser)of character and still is, although not in the best of health at the moment. About twenty or thirty years ago BBC television ran a Snooker tournament called ‘Pot Black’ in which Alex played in many times. 147 is the highest natural break or score in Snooker … the cows number. So make the connections …‘Well Done Alex.. Your’e for Pot Black Not Pot Roast’!
Please don’t ask me to explain what a pot roast is!!!*
A sad footnote here, in that Alex Higgins died yesterday after a long battle from throat cancer. He was 61. R.I.P Alex
