Long exposure of a dead tree in Fintry… For this shot. i used a Samsung GX10
This shot was with a Sigma10-20mm and a B+W ndx1000 circular ND filter, it is affectionately called the ‘welders mask’ as it is impossible to see through it, and causes no end of composition problems, this is taken at f16,12mm, about 120 seconds, shutter lock on a tripod with remote release in ‘bulb’ mode… I had been watching this tree for the right conditions for some time, when the wind was from the west, light clouds, and the odd burst of sun to illuminate the tree from the east… very much a ‘right place… right time’ kind of shot…
three Raw file conversion in ACR from one RAW file, and HDR through photomatix, other than that, a bit of cloning for spots and that was it…
