I was born and raised in suburban New Jersey. After graduating from Utah State University, I spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Chile. This gave me the opportunity to learn and appreciate various cultures and broaden my views of human nature.

My interest in photography began when I was a teenager. I always enjoyed the outdoors and photography gave me a means of capturing nature on film. Throughout my adult years I have continued to enjoy photography as a hobby. I am self-taught and continue to learn and experiment.
I am an active member of the Merced Camera Club and the San Joaquin Council of Camera Clubs. These organizations provide an incentive to become a more accomplished photographer.
