A late bloomer in life, I have always had a love of the great outdoors and whenever I could I would take photographs of scenes that brought a meaning to my life. The advent of the digital age saw me go ‘berserk’ for want of a better word, in that I was no longer constrained by the cost of developing film. Now I was able to get out and about and start to hone a previously slow-developing craft.
One of my loves is to chase severe weather phenomena and to record the images on digital media for posterity. Nothing compares to an extreme thunderstorm event to get the adrenaline flowing and to make you feel alive!!!
...and for a few dollars on the side I do a little portraiture of animals for local horse, cattle and sheep studs as well as make the odd contribution to our local newspapers here in South Australia’s beautiful Mid North.
