Sneak View of Black Bird Feeding by

Red winged blackbirds feed their pre-fledged babies deep inside the long grasses and reeds of the marsh. I was very fortunate on this spring day, to find a small opening in the reeds to witness and photograph this mother feeding her one baby. The image was captured in Delta, BC, Canada using a Nikon D700 and Nikkor 600 mm lens with a 1.4 teleconverter (ISO 800, +0.33 EV, f8, 1/1250).

If I could live my life to live over, I would be a biologist because nature provides me with such joy and passion. I am able to capture and share my experiences in nature with good camera gear, and through the medium of RedBubble. I hope you enjoy my work capturing scenes from nature.
