This spider is called the Orb-Weaver, because that is exactly what she does. She weaves a flat orb with radiating spokes with spirals of silk connecting them together. Her web is outside my bedroom window on Vancouver Island. I think I first noticed her about a month ago. She has grown considerably in size. I decided to make this picture when I noticed tiny droplets of water on her and in her web from the rain.
