Nature's Palette
Featured in Bee and Wasp Passions and in Bug Hunt
Spring can be a time of amazing colors and contrasts. Recently I came across this scene with my macro lens. A wild rose (Rosa acicularis), with its amazing pink and yellow, hosts an iridescent green wasp (hymenoptera pteromalidae). The colors were amazing in “real life”, and captured perfectly by the Nikon D300 and Sigma 150 mm macro lens at the beach on Vancouver Island, Canada.
