Hi Beve, I did have the lens on a large tripod. I was trying to shoot ducks in flight, so was using shutter priority. There was bright mid to late afternoon sunlight, so I cranked the EV down one full stop which not only allowed for a lot of detail in the white and with the water droplets, it also brought out beautiful rich tones in the water. I was actually shooting ducks in flight, when two swans attracted my attention. The light wasn’t my favourite…too bright, little colour. I reduced my EV by one full stop which worked tremendously well. Thank you, Holly.
