Delicate Wings
I captured this male rufous hummingbird using a D300 with a 600mm lens attached. He visited me for a day on his migration north. I managed to make a few good pictures of him.

lovely shot…did u use TC? ofcourse 600 mm straight is very sensitive even on wind movement….i use it…love the moment u captured here…

Thank you, Leih. This is one of my favourite captures, because of the colours and all that, but mostly because this is such a tiny creature, that in spite of huge odds, is able to survive and create such an impact on us all.
