Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Tock, Tic Tock

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc,
I can hear the sound of the wall clock.
This morning I awoke with only one sock.
And last night the front door I did not lock.

It took me forty seconds to get out of bed,
Wish I could sleep forty-five more minutes instead.
Twenty seconds later my face was all wet.
Then I remembered the eggs I did not get.

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc,
The radio is on and I listened to Hard Rock.
A minute has past and there’s a loud knock.
It’s my landlord and I am all out of luck.

He wants my rent and he will not go away,
Five minutes later and I don’t know what to say.
It’s a quarter to seven and it’s Monday.
Still another week before I get my pay.

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc,
It’s seven-o-five and I finally found my other sock.
I hear no music just talk from the disc jock.
Work is not too far just have to walk a block.

My pants are on and there’s a note on the door,
The landlord wrote that he will be back at four.
I live in an apartment on the second floor.
The neighborhood is shody and very poor.

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc,
Ten till eight and I put some meat in the croc.
My shirt is on and I kiss my pet rock.
I do it every morning just for good luck.

Eight oclock and I am on my way out,
People next door are arguing very loud.
Down the stairs I go and I see a dark cloud.
Wait a minute today is Sunday and what was I thinking about.
