A man emerges from a dream that was not to be,
His hopes are shattered far from where he cannot see.
His love of many years had long left his broken heart,
A moving vehicle ran over her and placed them apart.
His guilt had slowly torn the fibers within his soul,
The blue blood in his veins had long gone cold.
Both had been walking that night while holding hands,
She had gone out with him to talk with strong demands.
Many promises of changes with many long over dues,
His careless excuses had turn their life into blues.
The blame too hard to bare another lonely year,
He too wanted to leave the earth because of the fear.
Suddenly a thundering shower emerged from the skies,
Her face appeared with hands waving him good-byes.
It was then that he realized that forgiveness came,
From an angel in heaven that carried no blame.

Guilt can be a burden to carry especially with young lovers. When one partner looses the other in front of their own eyes, it can make or break their spirit or will to carry on. This poem details those feelings.
