When I walked into her apartment something seemed way out of place.
On the kitchen table there was an arrangement of roses in a lovely vase.
On the counter was a box of sweet chocolate candies of the best kind.
Then recollections came to me of not sending them as I listened to my mind.
The aroma of a delicious meal being cooked on the stove I could surely tell.
On her freshly bathe body a scent of a sensual perfume my nose could smell.
On her beautiful slim figured structure was clothing for romantic night in.
However; my wonderful lovely girlfriend of 5 years seemed capable of a sin.
The lights were dimmed and the glow from the candles was even very low.
On her fingers she held the match as the flame smoked as her lips did the blow.
On her lips the lipstick exceeded the amount she wore when we went on a date.
And I knew she wasn’t expecting me knowing that I would be working very late.
Suddenly a knock on the door so I hid in the closet while she went to open up.
On her tipsy toes she walked as I watched without making noise to disrupt.
On came the soft music from the stereo as she greeted a man right at her door.
I saw the face of a stranger and as he kissed her I just fell down to the floor.
The noise startled the hugging couple as they ran outside holding hands.
On their cell phones they shouted to the police that in the apartment was a man.
On my knees I was when I ran to the door and locked it before the police came.
And I slipped out the back door without ever knowing what was his name.
She confessed to me later that a stranger had come to her door one creepy night.
On her lips I could feel the guilty emotions as I knew all her story wasn’t right.
On that evening she swore that she would never see another man other than me.
And I know I should tell her too, but for just this moment I won’t even agree.

A girlfriend learns a hard lesson and maybe you might agree with what the boyfriend didn’t confess.
