Noises lurking from outside my window,
Creeping in underneath my bolted door.
My eardrums thumping from frightful sounds,
Vibrating vigorously at the foundation floor.
Branches rustling from added weight encounters,
Twisting and breaking off from the enormous push.
Closer comes the sounds as something approaches,
Exiting from it’s hidden haven of a dense forest bush.
I sense my blood pressure rising slowly,
As the sounds intensify to a higher decibel.
My mind flashes pictures of an uncontrolled horror,
That paralyzes me and renders me unable.
On the wooden porch there is a sound of heavy feet,
Bringing the unknown stalker closer to my living room.
And the gushing blood inside the chambers of my heart,
Want to rip the vessels from the pounding emitting it’s doom.
A weakened door trembles in spite the re-enforced locks,
And down comes the entrance frame with planks and all.
My eyes gazed affixed at the giant structure that bring me fear,
As my knees buckle at the sight of something big and tall.

Imagine yourself alone at night somewhere in log cabin in the woods and no one there to help quench your fears.
