Skeleton Bones
Skeleton Bones belongs to the following groups:
Short stories - Spherical Scriptings and Spiritual Art(Voices from children as a door bell rings,) “Trick or treat!”
“Get the hell of out here! I hate children! I will poison you with my candy,” shouted a man in a skeleton suit. He shut the door but they could hear his voice shouting insults and profanity.
“Come children, this is not a very nice place to get some candy. Please proceed with your treat-a-treating to the next house, “said a mysterious man dressed almost identical to the skeleton man.
The children rang the door bell of the second house and the nice skeleton man surprised them with so much candy that the buckets became so full. They hurried home as their parents had instructed with no more room for goodies. As they left the nice man turned the lights off as though he was through passing out candy for the night.
One child stayed behind as he waited for his father to arrive. He glanced over to see if the bad skeleton man still had his lights on. He heard the back door slam from the house he had gotten his candy from. Above the roof tops he saw a floating man entering the home of the mean skeleton man.
The lights were out too and the sounds of a struggle between electrified the dark house emitting silhouette shadows engaging in combat. He saw them through the window and the sound of crushing bones frightened him.
His father did not believe the story so he knocked on the door. The door opened and they entered with a flash light in hand. Smoke emitted from a grave inside as the bones of a man continued burning.
They left to bring the police over, but there were no signs of a house ever being there. The policeman said, “This prank seems to happen every year. Just let it go.” The father returned in the morning to find a lone hidden grave and the bones of a man scattered through out the vacant lot. Some dogs had unearthed them and were they acting weird as a police car drove off.
