I see you with your makeup on your face and I blush,
Somehow you make me so nervous as I leave in a rush.
My order of coffee and over easy eggs goes untouched,
All I do is stare when you’re not looking and don’t each much.
Every morning at 7:00 a.m. I enter the cafe’s front door,
Wanting to see your pretty face all dressed up once more.
When I leave a big tip for not eating you ask, “What’s this for?”
I get up and run and shout on my way out, ’Have to go to the store!"
Ten times in thirty minutes you fill my empty cup wondering why,
Don’t have the nerve to tell you the flowers on the table are ready to die.
They are drinking my coffee without me saying a word for me to deny,
Your charming ways force me to say very little so that I will not lie.
Gingerly moving about from waiting on customers makes you look good,
They thank you so graciously for the flavor of the delicious tasting food.
My heart skips a beat when you smile from afar and change my mood,
I shake from a loving feeling inside as I hide my head under a jacket’s hood.
At 12:00 noon I return again and order from the menu a daily lunch,
Always asking for your honest opinion since I leave it for you to munch.
Tomorrow my eyes will ask if you will go out with me as my stare is a hunch,
Leaving my ring on the table for you to wear is a hint that I love you a whole bunch.
