We were in the same room many times before I said good-bye.
Conversations were interesting until rumors spread and went dry.
Lies overcame truths after questions arose and went unanswered right then,
Foolish words filled in the blanks and you didn’t stop even as you knew when.
An innocent young lady was harassed and abused with stories of no truth,
Went home and cried for the many lies that went viral and without proof.
Bullies with no hearts to understand the damage of showing their ignorance,
Today was the funeral and I bled in tears knowing we will never again dance.
None of you attended her departure when I left your group and said good-bye.
I could hear the laughter from criminals acting as though they didn’t know why.
Time will bring the guilty to justice but it will not return her life back to earth,
A message left that was written before she took her own life for what it’s worth.
Mothers and fathers talk to your children to respect each other of such events,
Reach out to troubled matters and present a place and time for everyone to vent.
Find time to listen to rumors before they start to hurt and make people cry,
Bring them to harmony and make peace before you have to tell them good-bye.
