We Will Wait For Your Arrival
Our two beautiful children have grown,
and have left their uncompromising innocence
in our quiet and lonely bedrooms,
As their youthful mother and I struggle
to retrace the footsteps of their past.
We find ourselves lost in the wonderous
memories while embracing the love of new borns.
Children, have a heart and come more often
to the place of your roots that were layed
down as a foundation of strong principles.
We were blessed with children that believed
in the unity of a family and surrounded
by friends that helped in your upbringing,
So why have your boundries expanded too far
to reach, too empty to fill, or too busy
to make time for in our lonely world?
We will wait with opened arms for your arrival
with hopes that your children too,
can enjoy the laughter that once lived here.

Some parents can’t wait for their children to leave the nest, while others want to hold on for dear life. In this poem parents want to recreate the past with the grand children if only they would visit and fill the house that has gone empty.
