PLEASE CALL ME

Please Call Me

There you were reading a book in the city library,
And I watched you as you finished and closed the book.
Then you stood and reached for another but it was too high,
So I jumped out of my seat and rushed to help, but I tripped.

My head hit the table and it pushed right into one of the shelves,
Then a sea of books were scattered all around on the carpeted floor.
Everyone close by rushed to pick up my mess except you,
You were the only one that came to my aide as I laid there.

With light soft hands you managed to lift me up from where I was,
And took me over to the women’s bathroom to cleanse my wound.
No one noticed as voices could be heard complaining about me,
For all the displaced reading works I had spread throughout.

My vision was blurred and the dizziness prevented me from saying,
“Thank you for helping me in my moments of direst and who are you?”
I got into the mess because your beauty got the best of me,
And I wanted to meet you and share some thoughts.

I’ve been going back to the place of my accident at the library,
But you have not shown up and nobody knows anything about you.
If you happen to read this note that I left on the message board,
Will you please contact me, or wait for me out side, please?
