Sold!

Finally, a sale!

Recently I sold one of my shirts, The Grind. The news made me quite happy even if it is only one shirt. The thought that one of my designs will be going through the process of printing, purchase and mailing was enough to bring a smile of relief to my face.

If you don’t know it I’m a freelancer, so I work alone a lot. It’s become normal for me not to be in physical contact with my clients for quite some time, I’m used to being left alone and my work accepted with little client involvement. Now that the economy has altered that situation I’ve turned to RedBubble for creative opportunities and getting used to this method will take some time.

I’m still new to this scene and I don’t have all the tools figured out but this sale just made it easier to adapt. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what drives sales here but I do know that this sale is the result of my design being featured and thus attracting traffic to my site.

So what does it take to get featured regularly? Is it multi comments? Is it being in a lot of groups? Any input would be appreciated.
