  • Thanks Nigel! They’ve been around quite a while now but the first couple of years that one of these appeared in public they always had an F-15 on each wingtip to disguise the noise – or lack of it.

    I’ve only seen these three times now, and only during Fleet Week are the flyovers close enough to even warrant a snap! I’m envious of your image; were you in a balloon or hitching a ride on a bird? Great image!!

  • Thanks a lot for the comments! The shot was taken from the ground using a 200-600 zoom at the long end. I was happy to get a shot without the F-15 minders at last!
