Artist's Description

Avro Lincoln B.2/4A, RF461, a radar trainer of RAF Signals Command flies past during the 1961 Battle of Britain air display at RAF Waddington. This was one of the last two Lincolns flying in RAF service. First flown in 1944 the Lincoln was too late to see service in WW2 but became the standard heavy bomber of the RAF during the late 1940s and 1950s.
