One of the Flight’s “Babes”, Spitfire AB910, dips a wing in salute during the BBMF’s LLA Day in 2011. AB910 is a Mark Vb Spitfire, built just too late to take part in the Battle of Britain.

Another excellent capture Colin. – Ted
Thanks again Ted.
Lovely angle on this. Could add it to mine!
Thanks Gary! I just love it when a plan comes together! Of course the subject helps too and I happen to think the Spit is the most beautiful aircraft ever built.
Brilliant Work !
Thnks a lot Colin!
Beautiful shot. These planes and the men who flew them won the day in the skies over Britain in the WWII battle of Britain, Mike
Thanks Mike! I know where you’re coming from but there are many who believe, and have lots of evidence on their side, that it was the Hurricane that was really the aircraft that should be lauded, but I still think the Spitfire was prettier!
