23 Squadron Phantom XV402 stands in the snow at RAF Stanley in the Falkland Islands in 1983 armed up and awaiting de-icing before being brought to standby. In the background is a Rubb hangar and the smoke haze from the peat fires of the capital city, Port Stanley.
