Artist's Description

The Fighter Collection’s “Miss Velma” was one of the last P-51D Mustangs to be built at the Dallas, Texas, factory. Finished just too late to see active service in WW2 the aircraft saw operations in the tactical reconnaissance role during the Korean War with 45 TRS at Kimpo. During restoration in 1999-2007 she was converted to two-seat configuration as a TF-51D and registered as N251RJ. She is pictured taxying in the sunshine during the Duxford Spring Airshow in 2013.
