The Dassault Super Mirage 4000 (later Mirage 4000) was a larger development of the Mirage 2000 with canard foreplanes and twin engines. This long range mutirole aircraft was designed to compete with the F-15 and the projected Panavia MRCA. Alas it did not attract any customers and only the prototype was built. It is pictured starting its take-off run at Farnborough International 1980.
