Space Shuttle Endeavor
Endeavor Mission STS-126, 11/14/08….Launch time 7:55pm EST. Not a great photo, but I only have a few seconds to try and get a shot and I was looking slight in the wrong direction at first. Living just over an hour drive from Kennedy Space Center, depending on clouds we can get a pretty good view of the shuttles after launch. You can’t really see the shuttle, but the flames are pretty cool.
If you have never seen a shuttle launch in person, do try, it is a truly awesome site. We were fortunate enough to see the July 4, 2006 launch from six miles away and the launch before that one from 13 miles. I did get some shots but the pictures are on my other computer and unaccessible until I can get it working again :( I think I do have some on film, I’ll see if I can find them.

We’re big fans of the space program. We try to see as many launches that we can, even if it’s from the front yard!! Thanks so much my friend. :)

Boy!! You weren’t kidding!!! This is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Donna Adamski replied
I kid you not! I think the shuttle launches are totally awesome and I will do what I can to see it. This is first night launch in quite a while. I tried to talk my hubby into driving up, but it didn’t work out. They are retiring the shuttles in 2010 so not many more trips to go. Thanks Boss Lady :)

Noooooo….You have to come visit…you’ve been so many places and seen so many things, you can’t let this pass you by. I cna let you know when the next one is or you can check at nasa.gov. It’s really worth the trip and the time. One tip though, plan for delays!! The July 4th launch was suppose to launch on the 2nd!!
