An early morning view of one of the two remaining Martin Mars water bombers belonging to Forest Industries Flying Tankers, resting gently on its home base of Sproat Lake, near Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. The company have a remarkable maintenance facility by the lake, where they have the skills and equipment to carry out pretty much any work required to keep these impressive 65-year-old planes flying.
Pictures of the unique antique kit they use to fulfill this function would fill a whole book on their own.
