Uísce (pronounced: ISH-KA) is the Irish word for ‘Water’. This is simply a photo image of a water hole cover (about 6” in diameter) on the streets of Galway. We walk on top of and by these everyday but no-one seems to notice how lovely they are with their interesting Celtic patterns. I got some funny looks from passers-by when I was photographing this one.
