On a beach in Saipan, I was patiently waiting for the sun to drop into position below the beach umbrella. Just as the sun was coming into view, a couple stopped and stood under the umbrella….. unfortunately for me, they did not, at that time, add to the shot. As I was a little distance away, using a telephoto to enlarge the sun, they were unaware of me trying to shoot the sunset. After a minute or two, I left my tripod and camera and walked over to the couple. They did not speak English and I did not speak Japanese, but I was able to take some nice shots of them (with their camera) and then motion them into position under the umbrella….. then I ran back and shot off about 20 shots of them enjoying “the moment”. The photo would have been so much less without them and I really enjoyed the results. I only hope the shots I took for them with their camera came out just as well.
