The original drawing was executed in CHALK PASTEL with a little watercolour (for the background) – on cartridge paper and depicts part of an old Irish church ruin of lovely masonry build.
My rendition of this ruin may not be architecturally sound but this is more a study of the texturing, pattern and colour of the stone than a replica of the ruin itself. I love to explore the texture in everything.
I executed this piece when I was about 18 years of age.
