Bunch of Shamrock on Tri-Colour Ribbon for St. Patrick’s Day – March 17th

SHAMROCK: with it’s 3 little heart-shaped leaves was used by St. Patrick as a symbol to explain (to us pagans as we were then, in Ireland) the Divine Trinity: The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. Shamrock is a very tiny leaf plant unlike the much larger leaf plant, but possibly of the same plant family, the Clover. Many people seem to confuse the two.
