    I’m sure the Canon 400d would be OK for shots like this.
    The details for this shot are, Pentax K10D, 20 minutes exposure, f4, iso 200. 10mm. I usually use noise reduction. It’s a pain but it may be unavoidable with my camera.

    This is very cool If this is taken in the southern hemisphere, what star did you have at the center of your image. up here we use polaris (north star). again… this is a cool image

    Thanks for your comments martinilogic. I use the southern cross to find the south celestial pole. I also set the camera at approximately 35 degrees above the horizon. The southern cross in this image, is just above the horizon and to the left of the old building.
