What a striking image – amazing that you managed to get so close!
These birds rest in the mangroves during the day along the water, I found this one spot where they hang out. So if you are very quiet, you can get close to get a good shot, another thing, the sun was shining through the top of the mangroves right down on his head. Thanks for commenting on my photo, Carl
Yes, that’s what I enjoy about wildlife photography – you have to go about it the right way, but you need luck too.
