Gone
It just came to me one day, and I was totally amazed! lol
The happiness we once knew is now gone
The tears are flowing in a never ending way
There’s nothing we can do but watch
As our biggest fears are catching up to us
Their intentions are cruel
No mercy or grace are shown on their face
All they want is for us to stop running
And show the panic in our eyes
To show our tear stained faces
The chaos is breaking the barrier
No longer able to keep things calm
We run from the noise
The things that made us laugh
Are now in the past
Smiling is no longer possible
The fear and the hurt have taken over
Everything is dark
The light at the end of the tunnel has faded
We run around blindly
Feeling with our hands as much as we can
Our hope leaving us with each passing moment
Right as we think its over
We hear a voice, a comforting voice
A voice that warms us from the inside out
A voice that give us a feeling of comfort
A voice that gives us strength to turn around and face our fears
A voice that gives us hope
A voice that opens our eyes
A voice that shows us the light
The light that we thought had faded
The light that reveals a helping hand
A helping hand that promises to help
A helping hand that pulls us into a warm embrace
A warm embrace that promises to keep us safe
And never let go.
