I spent almost a year working for The Nature Conservancy in the Warner Valley in southern Oregon’s (USA) high desert. The winter was hard, temperatures dropped down to -10º F, 5 foot deep snow drifts made the 10 mile long dirt road difficult to travel.
There were almost 100 antelope in the herd that wintered over in the valley. I caught this image one morning heading to town (Lakeview). The fog was thick and bone chilling but parted for just a bit, long enough to scramble thru the snow to get close enough to capture this image.
