As the days grew colder I watched the local flock of starlings grow and start to make their flock movements bunched much closer together, doing those fantastic swoops and change-of-direction maneuvers that can be so visually awesome. When they started feeding in the grass fields near the house on a recent foggy day I waited and followed and then worked on getting the capture of the flock in motion that I saw in my mind’s eye. Shot in Eugene, Oregon (USA).
