Inside the Italian Chapel, Orkney. It was constructed out of 2 Nissen huts by Italian prisoners of war; the walls are painted to look like brickwork, the lantern haning by the windows are made from bully beef tins.

IV BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES….CANT STAY AWAY FROM IT.I WAS TOLD THAT MANY OF THE PRISONERS DID NOT RETURN TO ITALY BUT STAYED ON AND MARRIED SCOTTISH LASSES.
