I painted this for an inspirational friend (see Kate with painting here) as a present. The imagery of the woman-tree came about through a poem I once read which spoke of women being like a community of trees – everyone is sheltered under her leaves and protected/nourished by her deep, stable roots.

    lol, thank you Dani … The poem was on a poster from a community centre I think ? ... No idea where it would be now ? ... If I find the poster, I’ll post the poem on here … :)
