Sunset at “The Edge of the World” at Arthur River, Tasmania – Australia.
Arthur River (and much of the west coast of Tassie) is renowned for it’s tumultuous sea and insane wind speeds.. and it sure showed when we were there. It was so windy we could barely stand, and often needed to put most of our body weight into the wind to stay standing. Despite using the mammoth-heavy RB67 setup I still needed to give extra weight to my tripod to keep it from flying away! The water movement you see in this image isn’t actually from a long exposure – it’s all foam atop the water bought on by the conditions.
Shot on Velvia 50 with a Mamiya RB67, 50mm C lens, B+W polariser and Lee filters.

Cheers mate! Are we talking locals? The few people we spoke with were friendly enough, or if you’re meaning the conditions, they’re fine – something a bit different :)
