A bit of a visual reminder of how minor and insignificant we are as our world wobbles around in the whirlpool of existence.

Shot with a Canon 7D and 10-22mm lens.

Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 1600

Holy **** This is awesome! It’s a galactic tunnel to space.. excellent mate. I’ve always wanted to try star trails, kudos for going the whole two hours with this! :)

  • Cheers Parms! Glad you like it man. I’ve been meaning to give them a try for years, this is my first attempt. Pretty happy with it, now just need to get some colour in there :) We were already staying up observing so just let the camera roll. Also made a couple of short timelapse videos from the images, though 2 hours isn’t enough for a decent length.

This is incredible Jason.. I have yet to try star trails but they are WAY up the top of my to do list.. How long did it take to process this???

  • Thanks Beth! Had been meaning to give them a shot for ages! Only took a minute to process, just had to stack them! No editing was really required, a couple of hot/dead pixels which I had to get rid of but that’s it.
