Diaea evanida, or the Pink Flower Spider. Probably the most widely seen species of Flower Spider, the Pink Flower Spider hides on flowers and branches waiting to capture small insects with it’s front four legs. And I mean small, this guy was no more than 10mm long himself.
Shot on the 10th of November 2009 in Brisbane, Australia, with a Canon 450d and a 70-300 is usm telephoto with 68mm of stacked extension tubes.
Shutter: 1/40th (with built-in flash fired)
