Artist's Description

Another tricky shot. I had to clamber up some rocks and balance on a fallen tree trunk in an extremely awkward angle to get this one.

In retrospect, I wish I got a little more adventurous and went a little further for a nicer angle, but I’m still happy with the results.

NATURALLY, I could’ve saved myself some trouble with composition had I remembered about live view BEFORE twisting my back on the tree trunk!

Shot on the 10th of October 2009 at Binna Burra (Lamington National Park) QLD with a Canon 450d and a 17-40 f/4L at 40mm.

3 shots, processed in photomatix.
Shutter: 13, 3.2, and 0.8 second exposures.
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 100
