I love it! The colours and the composition really make this shot. And who doesn’t love pinapples! :D

  • Thanks, and also thanks on the naming process :D

Were you knee-deep in prickly bits?? Ha ha. Nice shot of Tibrogargan.

  • Ah you’re familiar with the ol’ rock! :) I wasn’t quite in the pineapple field in this shot.. at the risk of reducing how nice this shot looks I was actually standing on the sidewalk with my tripod next to the edge of the field :) I shouldn’t have said that though.. should have made up some long winded story about how I hopped around cutting my legs up trying to find a nice spot.

Hahahahaha, I appreciate your honesty, but it LOOKS like you’d be in a prickly spot. My sister lives just up the road near Woodford.

  • Ah great, it’s a beautiful area! I haven’t been up that way too much, i’m from Brisbane and i’m usually drawn south for some reason.. Anyway thanks for the kind comments, glad you like the shot! I’ve got another one of tibro shot from the other side I’m going to find soon.

Stunning image…great composition. with very diverse ‘textures’.

Wish I had pineapples to photograph in Swansea!

  • Thanks Lydia.. I actually found this field by complete accident. I was driving along and saw a nice view of the mountain rock in the distance, got out and walked to the edge of the road and realized there was a pineapple field before me.

They’re always the best shots..the accidental and off the beaten track ones!
Most of my sunsets were taken on the way to work….always have your camera to hand, nature doesn’t wait for anybody!!

  • I’m not too sure I’d want to be lugging my gear with me, though perhaps I should keep the old point & shoot in the glovebox. Thanks for checking out my stuff :)

Wow, this is gorgeous. I have the same shot – we must have stopped in the same place on the way up to Glasshouse Mountains??! My doesn’t look this fantastic.

  • Woah that’s a coincidence, though in retrospect we can hardly be surprised.. was a golden opportunity. Funnily enough I didn’t even see the pineapple at first, just the view of tibrogargen. Thanks for the kind comment froggy :)
