Exhibition Time!

Hi friends! It’s been a long time between journals, I know! I wanted to spread the word about my first ever photography exhibition I’m running with fellow photographer Stef Dunn in Brisbane.

We’re exhibiting about 30 large (most of Stef’s images are almost 50" long!) images at the Art Factory Gallery in South Brisbane, from June 30th until July 12th, with a strong emphasis on seascape and rainforest imagery.

Please feel free to drop in and have a look! All are welcome, and entry is of course free.

Also, drop in on the facebook event page for the latest updates and what not. Feel free to spread the love!

Thanks, hope to see you there!

That is fabulous! I might have to try to get some time to pop in and have a squizz :D

  • Thanks Sonja! You’re very welcome to! Would be nice to put a face to the name finally :) (I may only be in there on weekends myself, Stef will most likely be there on the weekdays)

Well, I’d probably only be able to get over that way on a weekend anyway – but we’ll see what happens :)

  • No probs Sonja :) If you do, awesome! If you can’t, it’s all good – it’s the thought that counts! :D

  • Heh you’ve probably seen all the images I’ll have there anyway! :D

Probably! But they look so much more fabulous when they’re printed :D

Brilliant, Jason. Big prints from big film are still in a class of their own. Anyone able to attend should take the time to do so—they’ll be in for a real treat! I know it will do very well for you both.
    Best,
    Brett

  • Cheers Brett :) Not all of my images are film shots, but the few 30×24′s that are look fantastic. Stef’s 50" long 4×5 images are something else entirely – you’d love it.

Yeah, I did have a quick look at his (her?) site, actually. Absolutely LOVED this quote:

Most of the images you will see here were made the old-fashioned way. On big film using a big old wooden camera. One with a bellows. And my head under a cloth.

    How wonderfully laconic!
I’m sure we would get along very nicely. I know it will be huge Jason, and please give us an update too, love to hear all about it.
    Cheers mate,
    Brett

  • It’s a he, that get’s confusing quite often :D He has an awesome way with words that’s for sure, certainly much more so than myself! Thanks again mate!

Sounds exciting; and free admission is certainly a treat. Too bad I’m so far though – exactly on the other side of the world ~

  • It’s the thought that counts Mui-Ling! Thanks very much :)
