Habitat of the Lethargic
Featured in ! * Irish Eyes * ! – October 2009
Featured in JPG Cast-Offs – October 2009
This is the upper “bedroom”, or attic, of our chalet at The Mouses House in Springbrook National Park – Gold Coast. I liked the scene with the low light, though now I’m wishing I composed this as a front on view as I’ve cropped out some chairs in the foreground facing the bed that I felt didn’t work in the original.
Shot on the 4th of October 2009 with a Canon 450d and a 10-22 usm wide angle.
Shutter: 6 seconds
Aperture: f/16
ISO: 800 – for some reason.. must’ve forgotten to change it

feels like I woke up in the morning bit early! great catch!
Jason Asher replied
Haha aye! I believe this was mid-late afternoon actually, just a very dark room with not much in the way of light sources – you actualy climb a ladder in the chalet to get up to here, it’s almost kind of creepy!
Stef Dunn

Aye, might’ve been a nice idea to get a silhouette of someone there, next time! Thanks again fella I’m glad you like it.

I really really like this mate. Something about it that’s so calming about the darkness surrounding the bed. Great mood with that sliver of light coming in.
