Rather fond of this shot, I just wish that leaf wasn’t in the way.

Shot on the 20th of September 2008 at Mt Nebo, QLD, with a 450D and a 70-300 IS USM telephoto at 150mm. Processed in CS3.

    Cool Shot Jason. The grass ? We take what we can get, right Congrats on the feature!!! I wonder if they even noticed the blade of grass you’re so concerned with or if it was just accepted as part of making the capture “natural”. Easy for me to try to advise/console others along these lines, but as photographers/artists, I’m sure most of us are just as hard on ourselves or, at least we often find ourselves wishing the shot was just a “little bit” different!!

    You’re completely right John. The blade of grass looks natural, but I can’t help but wish it wasn’t there and I had the detail of the claw on the log instead. Cheers for the kind words John, you hit the nail on the head.
