It may be a Slough (UK) assembled Light 15. The French built 11BLs tended to have black chevrons on the grill, the UK cars chrome, as I recall, although I know more about Ds, myself.
A landmark car, in so many ways, it provided the template for the modern motor car of the 1930s and 1940s and beyond.
They’re not so uncommon in Australia, as they handled Aussie roads better than most other cars in the 1950s, if you could afford to buy one. You just have to know where to look. We had around twenty of them in Launceston over Easter for Cit-In and there are many more still on the roads today, and even the odd one in daily use.
