Hello, I have no idea what I am doing.
How was this space like to move through ? The architect was intent on creating a mood when he designed this. Peter Eisenman is his name-o.
It’s bloody odd, the floor is uneven so you disappear into it, and feel totally off centre. It actually gave the effect of being in a hall or mirrors in way, in that everywhere looked the same, every corner you turned looked identical. A bit disorientating. A lot like Melbourne.
I could just about guarantee myself to get lost in there…..
that’s amazing. what a surreal looking place. great capture too.
I think I like the crop better, it really emphasises the strangeness of the place by taking it out of context.
You may be right. I struggled between them and decided to go with some colour so as not to add anything too negative to an already emotional spot. It’s actually another photo as opposed to a crop, but that isn’t really important.
I like both versions, but for different reasons. The crop is more surreal as the viewer, the scenic one shows how surreal the place itself is.
Initially, I assumed this was a composite, and not a real place. I just looked it up to make sure. :)
Initially I thought you were a composite and not a real person, so I looked you up. (asked Russ). Turns out you are. How’s that working out for you?
I like this
wow – this is incredible, both the shot and content of the scene!
I like the green up top to show how unnatural the grey blocks are. Crazy place.
