IT’S BEAUTIFUL… adore repetition and perfect horizontals… sensational work for me mr onetonshadow! Look at the way the angled glass picks up on everything! Wonderful!

    This is awesome

  • It is, along with the Post Office Tower and Battersea Power Station it’s one of my favourite buildings in London. Close up it’s mad, weird unnecessary gold mosaic inlays, and, right next to this which is all very extravagant in a late 1800s sort of way (same guy who built the Titanic I think, apparently the dining room looks the same). But what I love is how the Imperial must have gone through this period of being ‘so modern’ then ‘so ugly’ next to this place and as they have both aged it’s slowly becoming a marvellous example of it’s post war period. Soon they’ll be tourist snapping away at this too. Although not just yet…..
